NATIONAL TREASURY’S GLOBAL INVESTOR CALL POST TABLING OF THE 2026 MEDIUM-TERM BUDGET STATEMENT
The National Treasury hereby advises that on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, the South African
Minister of Finance, Mr Enoch Godongwana, will table the 2026 Medium-Term Budget Policy
Statement (“2026 MTBPS”) in Parliament.
The Republic of South Africa, rated Ba2 (positive) by Moody’s Investors Service Incorporated,
BB (positive) by S&P Global Ratings and BB (stable) by Fitch Ratings (Hong Kong) Limited, has
mandated J.P. Morgan and Rand Merchant Bank, together with their empowerment partners,
Capital Link Partners and THEZA Capital, to arrange a non-deal Global Investor Call (“GIC”)
scheduled for Wednesday, 21 October 2026 at 16:00 SAST / 14:00 GMT / 09:00 EST.
The GIC will be led by the Director General of the National Treasury, Dr Duncan Pieterse, and
supported by senior officials from the National Treasury.
The GIC will be followed by a series of in-person fixed income investor update meetings in
Cape Town on Thursday, 22 October 2026, and in Pretoria on Thursday, 29 October 2026.
An open Q&A session will be held during the GIC. The Republic of South Africa also welcomes the
pre-submission of questions through the J.P. Morgan or Rand Merchant Bank representatives:
