CHANGES TO ABSA GROUP BOARD AND BOARD COMMITTEES

In accordance with paragraphs 6.71 of the Equity Listings Requirements and 6.42 of the Debt and
Specialist Securities Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are informed that
Alpheus Mangale has resigned as an independent non-executive director to the Absa Group
Board, effective 8 October 2026, due to personal reasons and future commitments.

The Board thanks Mr Mangale for his contribution to the Absa Group Board since joining in July
2023 and wishes him well in his future endeavours. Consequently, he will step down from the
Group Risk and Capital Management Committee (GRCMC), Remuneration Committee (RemCo)
and Information Technology Committee (ITC).
